Photo Tips

Since Peggy works from the photograph you send, here are some tips to achieve the best photo for your portraits.
  1. Send a clear, sharp image - not a blurry photo. Get close to your subject if possible.
  2. Remember to pick a photo that really reminds you of the person or animal you are having the portrait painted of. Try to pick one with some real emotion or special personality.
  3. Avoid stiff poses. Take photos with relaxed and natural expressions if possible.
  4. Take the photos outside if possible, in natural light if inside.
  5. Having the sun from the side usually makes the best portrait since it creates a lot of highlights and shadows.
Good photos help to create the perfect portrait.

Please note any special colors if not clear from the photo. For example - dark brown eyes or blue eyes. For more information about photo tips contact us via E-mail.
